Instructions and Information about the MagicMail Interface
This instructional page will familiarize you with your new server interface. After reading below, please log into your new server site and see how you can customize your email. As of about 7PM on Monday night your email began landing on the new server. If you access your email by an email client program such as Outlook Express, you need make no adjustments. The old mail server is still accessible at this link.
For those of you who already have our spam filtering service, you will now have increased and individualized control. Those of you who are interested in getting spam control can look at the image at the bottom of this page to examine the features. In the past half a year spam has grown to account for perhaps as much as 80% of all email traffic world-wide. We went the extra mile to get the best possible spam filtering system integrated into our new servers and hope you will enjoy this new level of control.
We would like to stress that this change should be transparent to you. You will not have to change any settings in your email program and your email address will not change. To look at the new mail interface, please follow the instructions below. We used Internet Explorer version 7 to take these screen shots. Except for the first image version 6 will appear almost the same. Items of note are indicated with Red Arrows.
Step 1. browse to http://mail.plix.com/ . If you have have IE 7 you will get screen below. Follow the directions shown in red to proceed. If you don't get this screen, go to Step 2.
Step 2. this is the server user interface. Enter your full email address and password and click the "login" button.
Step 3. After you login, this is what you should see.
Step 4. Feel free to check out the new interface.
Step 5. If you currently subscribe to spam filtering, you will have the options that put you in complete control of your spam! If you are not currently being filtered for spam, give us a call so we can set it up for you. 509-685-0403
With the new system, you will not have to make any changes to your existing mail settings. If you do experience problems, Please give us a call, and our support team will help you get going again.
If you need to check your mail off the old system, you can click here. Now that magic mail is online, your email will go to the magic mail servers. Access to the old servers will be up for a limited time. Generally, you will only need to check the old servers if you use the web interface exclusively (i.e. you do not use an email program like Outlook or Outlook Express)
