Windows 7 Dial-up Settings

1. Click the Start button and the options will pop-up. Click on the part that says "Control Panel."

2. Click on Network and Internet.

3. Click on Network and Sharing Center.

4. From this screen, simply click on setup a connection or network.

5. Click on connect to the internet, then click next.

6. Click on setup a new connection

7. Click on dial up

8. Enter the dial-up number: 640-0100, 685-2188 or 684-6998, Username, Password, and Connection Name: "Internet Xpress". Note: Choose whether to automatically: Remember this password, and Allow other people to use this connection.

9. Click connect.

10. By default Windows 7 will not automatically prompt you to create a shortcut. If you prefer a shortcut on your desktop for your dial up connection you will need to first go to:

- Control Panel and select
-  Click on Network and Internet.
a) Network and Sharing Center
b) Select: change adaptor settings on the left side panel.
c) Select your Internet Xpress Icon, right click on it and select Create Shortcut.
d) You will see a dialog box
e) Select: Yes


Connecting to the Internet

1. When you are ready to connect to the Internet, look for the new, Shortcut to Internet Xpress, on your Desktop.

2. Double Click on the Shortcut and a "Connect To" window will appear.

3. If necessary, in the username window, type in your username, all lower case letters with no spaces. (Be sure that you clear the window of any default information first).

4. If necessary, click in the password window and carefully enter your password. (Again, be certain that you clear the username window of any default information first and use only lower case letters with no spaces).

5. Click Dial

6. When you successfully connect, a small icon of two computer monitors will appear in the lower right corner of your screen on your tool bar, next to the time.

7. Open your web browser (like Internet Explorer or Netscape) or your Email (like Outlook Express or Eudora) once connected.

8. When you are ready to disconnect, click on the shortcut to Internet Xpress (or on the two small computer monitors on the tool bar, next to the time and click disconnect.
